Oriana Lo Re

Biography

Oriana Lo Re has graduated in Molecular and cellular biology at the University of Palermo in Italy.

She has done is PhD work at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, studying the Epigenetic remodeling in human hepatocellular carcinoma. She has been postdoctoral researcher at the centre of translation medicine (CTM-FNUSA-ICRC) in Brno, Czech Republic, working on histone variants isoforms (macroH2A1.1 and macroH2A1.2) post-translation modifications, with mass spectrometry- based approach in hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines model.

Since 2021 she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute of the Medical University –Varna, Bulgaria. Her project is focused on the CUT&Tag/RNA-Seq analysis of the histone variant macroH2A1, using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPS), which may provide relevant molecular insights for modeling neurodegenerative diseases.
