Biography

Emil D. Parvanov has graduated in Molecular biology at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria.

He has done is PhD work at the University of Bern, Switzerland, studying DNA recombination in fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. He has been postdoctoral fellow at the Jackson Laboratory in USA and Masaryk University in Czech Republic studying the genetic regulation of meiotic DNA recombination in mice. He has been researcher at the Charles University in Czech Republic studying the phenomenon of hybrid sterility in mice.

Since 2021 he is postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute of the Medical University – Varna, Bulgaria. His study is towards unravelling the mechanisms of hematopoiesis and understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of blood disorders.
